A Bi-Directional Full-Duplex Solution: Opticomm Announces New Model FMV-595 San Diego, CA., August 27, 2001 - Opticomm's FMV-587 system combines 1Video, 1Audio and 1Data Bi-Directional Full Duplex on 1 MM Multimode or SM Single mode fiber. The Audio is 600W Balanced and Unbalanced, the Data is RS-422 or RS-232 Async up to speed of 300Kb/s. A WDM 865/1310 or 1310/1550 Wavelength implemented over one single fiber optic cable. The product is an LED or Laser baseband system with enough budget loss to extend Video/Audio/Data transmission up to 40Km in one run fiber with no repeaters. This flexibility allows local area network communication between buildings in the range of 05-35km distance. Applications are intended for the Commercial sector and the Government sector. In the commercial field, the FMV-595 system is used for security surveillance fiber network systems. Site applications include Airports, Hospitals, Municipal buildings, Universities, high schools, Studios, Video production sites, State traffic department of transportation facilities, Caltrans or similar entities and other many commercial and governmental locations. In the Government sector, the FMV-595 system is used by the Naval Weapons Center, Underwater surface systems, Air Force base installations, Flight simulation, the Johnson control center, Marines and US Army installation for missile deployment. This FMV-595 baseband CCTV system is significantly less expensive than Broadband CATV systems for small volume channel operations. The technology far exceeds comparable AM broadband systems.
