GENERAL
The Opticomm DIGIBAND® Series DVX-6000 is a Laser based single mode fiber optic transmission system for multi standard serial digital video. The system provides studio broadcast quality transmission of uncompressed serial digital video (per ANSI/SMPTE 259/292M & ITU-RBT.601-2). The system automatically locks to the standard SMPTE rate signals (143, 177, 270, 360, 540, & 1485Mb/s) then processes these signals to minimize jitter & BER across the link. A digital signal offers superior receiver output stability unaffected by optical fiber attenuation, aging, splicing & other degradation. Only single mode fibers are used, this assures the best signal uniformity, ideal for the transmission of the digital video

SYSTEM DESIGN
DIGIBAND® DVX-6000 & 6200 WDM/Mux provide a universal multimedia digital transport system for NTSC, PAL and other standards. Units are available as Desktop (Stand Alone) & Rack Mount versions for the 4RU-19" chassis. The CC-12-100 chassis has 12 slots with a single 100W power supply (PSU-100), and up to 10 slots with dual redundant 100W power supplies. The DVX-6000 series allows for greater flexibility and future expansion. Both optical and electrical connections are accessed from the rear. The Rack Mount power supply is a regulated switching power supply with short circuit protection, and an input operating voltage of 87-264 VAC.
