GENERAL
The Opticomm DIGIBAND® Model DVX-2000 is a Laser based single channel fiber optic transmission system for compressed Serial Digital Video. The system provides high quality transmission of MPEG-2 compressed video (per SMPTE 310M). The SMPTE 310 data rate is 8-VSB, 16-VSB simplex transmission at 19.4 and 38.8 Mb/s.
The system is designed to process the signals to minimize jitter & BER across the link creating an ideal medium for error intolerant compressed video. A digital signal offers superior receiver output stability unaffected by optical fiber attenuation, aging, splicing & other degradation. Single mode fibers are used at 1310nm to provide the best quality at low cost.
SYSTEM DESIGN
The DIGIBAND® DVX-2000 is a digital compressed video multimedia transport system for SMPTE 310. Units are available as Desktop (Stand Alone) & Rack Mount versions for the 4RU-19" chassis. The CC-12-100 chassis has 12 slots with a single 100W power supply (PSU-100), and up to 10 slots with dual redundant 100W power supplies.
The DVX-2000 series allows for greater flexibility and future expansion. Both optical and electrical connections are accessed from the rear. The Rack Mount power supply is a regulated switching supply with short circuit protection, and an input operating voltage of 87-264 VAC.
