Optical DVI Extension System
The DVI-150 is a unique fiber optic cable system that extends your digital flat panel monitor up to 500 meters (1650 feet) away from host based on DVI standard.
It is ideal for any high-resolution or high-speed optical transmission, providing maximum flexibility and extended distances.
System Design
Fully compatable with DVI standard by DDWG and uses a standard 24-pin DVI plug and an LC connector. External power supply is optional and automatic power switch in included.
RGB and Clock signals are transmitted by optical fiber. This is an optical Fiber-only system, without the DDC function (pseudo DDC signal can be transmitted for EDID information).
The miniature 865nm VCSEL transmitter driver is embedded in a mini case. The pin diode is in similar receiver mini case. It is designed for multimode 865nm short distance. 33 feet, 66, 106, 166, 330, 660 and up to 1050 feet distances are available at various price points.
Frequency Bandwidth is: 1.6 Gbps (Single Link) supporting Graphic Resolution and Distance UXGA resolution 1600 x 1200 up to 500m (1,650ft) and SXGA resolution 1280 x 1024 up to 700m (2,300ft) using connector DVI 24-pin Plug and LC connector. Power consumption for Transmitter is .53W and for Receiver is .9W. Optical source: 850nm VCSELO/E Converter with PIN Photo Diode using 50/125 multimode fiber.
