GENERAL

The Opticomm DMX-785 is a four channel T1/E1 full duplex Data multiplexer. It is transparent to the framing format, and shapes the transmit pulse to support the CCITT G.703 format, and DSX-1 (T1) cross connect distances from 0 to 655 feet. An internal elastic buffer removes jitter from transmit Data. Each channel is equipped with four LED indicators to assist in troubleshooting and operation. There are indicators for POWER, ALARM, T1/E1 SIGNAL LOSS, BPV VIOLATIONS, and SYNC ACTIVE.

Each channel has an eight position DIP switch to configure settings for line code, line length, local loopback, or remote loopback. The DMX-785 is a smart device. Each channel's flashing alarm LED will indicate any invalid DIP switch settings (i.e., line code does not match line length). This feature makes configuring the unit much easier. This unit is available with an optional auto switchover with Optical Redundancy.

SYSTEM DESIGN

These units come in a Stand Alone version. Input power is 12VDC using an external power supply module. The DS-785 Stand Alone can also be housed in 19" Rack mount CC-10 chassis. The 19" Rack Mount CC-10 is powered by a single or redundant 110/220 VAC power supply.

Also available in a 19" 1U high version with reversible mounting brackets.
